Music Is Good For Your Brain

I read an article recently that discussed the role that music can play in a person's brain health. Researchers at Stanford found that music enhances the way the human brain processes the spoken word. Overall, it is apparent that music is good for your brain, and that kind of brain stimulation can make you smarter.

You might have also heard that listening to classical music can improve your memory. What these researchers say is that the main thing that makes music beneficial to your brain is order. It makes both sides of your brain process information simultaneously, and that it ultimately makes the brain operate more efficiently.

Some famous classical music is still popular today. Songs by both Bach and Mozart are easily recongizable and they are definitely among the favorite composers.

With the iPod shuffle, you can stimulate your brain anywhere you go! Why not add a few classical songs to your iTunes library today? If you don't have an iPod shuffle, you can register to win one at www.iPodSweepstates.com. I think we can all stand to improve our memory - we aren't getting any younger!
